Renée Bauer has spent two decades in the rooms where women make their hardest decisions.
As founder of Happy Even After Family Law — one of Connecticut’s most recognized family law firms — she has sat across from thousands of women at the turning point of their lives: walking away from a marriage, leaving a career, rebuilding after loss, choosing themselves for the first time. That work, and her own story of reinvention, became the foundation for her bestselling book She Who Wins, winner of the 2023 American Book Fest Award and the 2024 Reader Views Literary Award.
Today, Renée is a keynote speaker, three-time author, and nationally recognized voice on resilience, reinvention, and the decisions that define a woman’s life. She’s been named Litigator of the Year by the Connecticut Law Tribune, Women-Owned Business of the Year, and a Woman of Influence nominee by Success Magazine. She is a frequent media voice in print, radio, and television on family law, high-profile divorces, and the changing landscape of women’s lives, and serves as an advisor to an award-winning writing team for a television series currently in production.
Beyond the stage, Renée is the founder of Parent Co-Pilot, an app supporting parents navigating high-conflict co-parenting, and co-founder of the She Who Wins app, a platform connecting women with coaches across business, mindset, and personal growth. She hosts a globally top 2% ranked podcast, where she leads candid conversations on leadership, reinvention, and getting real about what’s holding us back.
In her signature keynote How She Wins: From Uncertainty to Unstoppable, Renée challenges women leaders and entrepreneurs to rethink how they navigate uncertainty, risk, and fear — and to take bold action on the decisions they’ve been avoiding. Drawing from her legal practice, her fiction writing, and her own comebacks, she brings humor, vulnerability, and real-world insight to every stage. Audiences leave energized, clear on their next move, and ready to lead, build, and win on their own terms.
Renée holds a J.D. from Suffolk University Law School. When she isn’t writing, speaking, or practicing law, she writes twisty murder novels, trains in the gym, and lives in Connecticut with her chaotic blended family and rescue dogs.

I speak to the woman who’s standing at the edge of something.
The one who knows she can’t stay the same, but isn’t sure what comes next.
I give her clarity. Permission. A framework.
And proof that the comeback is always bigger than the setback.
